The best destinations we know are all tips from other motorhome enthusiasts and the motorhomes themselves speak of shared interests – independence, adventure and not being part of the herd.
2) You end up somewhere completely unexpected
The best thing about your motorhome? It can go anywhere.
Even if you start off with a plan, it can change. Find the destination isn’t quite what you expected, you can move on, find somewhere new.
Get a tip off from another traveller? You can go and check it out. Drive past a beautiful setting and feel pangs of longing, wishing that was where you were staying. It can be…
Motorhome holidays can offer stability – you can plan it all out and book everything in advance. Alternatively, they offer the chance of being spontaneous. If you’ve booked a package holiday to a Greek Island that isn’t so much of an option.
3) You can have the most amazing meal of your life – all cooked in motorhome kitchen!
You might imagine the best holiday food you can find is in a great hotel or amazing restaurant.
You might be right, certainly the food itself can be delicious – pricey though.
A motorhome offers different opportunities. You have the ability to pick up the best local cuisine and some great wine and then serve it all from a fully equipped kitchen. Unlike with camping, you’re not limited to very basic cooking; like camping you can eat out in a beautiful setting and without waiting staff or worrying about how much to tip.
The greatest meals of your life aren’t great just because of the food, they are great because of the food, drink, company, atmosphere and setting. Motorhomes are unsurpassed in delivering the full, tasty package.
4) You enjoy the journey
Whether it’s the packed coach transfer of a package holiday, or even just the delays and waiting for bags to hit the carousel of flying; the journey on any holiday can be almost enough to put you off holidays.
With motorhomes, the journey becomes a joy in itself. The driver has a raised cab with perfect visibility, a range of driver aids and the controls to the stereo. Throw in a comfy seat and you have a great space to watch the view unfurl.
The rest of your travelling party can relax in the main body – be that reading, watching shows or having some food, drink and a chat.
There is no other type of holiday where the journey is so much fun, caravan holidays might be similar in some ways but driving them is a chore in comparison – and of course the rest of the party can’t stay in the caravan during the journey.
